"Its an old country house, with lots of character and interesting antiques and wall hangings. The rooms are of course old, and the furniture is to say the least well used, as are the fixtures and fittings in the rooms and bathroom. Nothing was not working, so functionally it was well maintained. For us, the carpet, curtains and fittings would be improved by a thorough cleaning, but that is not to say it was dirty. "It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!"

"Had a brilliant two night stay! Greeted at the entrance and bags carried in for us, all staff were so pleasant and helpful, the inside and outside of the hotel are stunning and plenty of nice walks around the grounds. Really cant say enough about the place, room was right beside the spa/gym area and the food in Blayney's and the Catalina was so good! Will definitely be back in the future."

"This place is fantastic! Very quiet and peaceful. The owner/host was amazing and so friendly. She provided local recommendations and travel directions. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room and bathroom were both very good sized. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. "
