"Very clean, except roach found this morning snacking on our cookie crumbs. I was told that all the rooms had been fumigated yesterday, though. It took a very long time to get hot water at the shower and sink, and the breakfast was very skimpy, but the room was well-heated and had a nice-sized mini-fridge, which appeared new and clean."

"Although not a fancy 5 star hotel, the Fern Ridge was a very pleasant surprise! We had expected the lower rate to mean a small room without much comfort, but found the friendliness of the staff to go above and beyond what one would receive at ANY rated hotel.
