"Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. The room and bed were comfortable, but the kettle was a bit rubbish and not convenient to use (it was connected to the plug which was behind the television) The breakfast was pretty average, not the best but you had enough options. "Disappointed with water pressure: dog hair on the basement sofas as someone was allergic and reacted with them, but I do appreciate it is a dog friendly ;had to clear the ‘alien’ shower as it was overflowing but was fine afterwards. Fabulous location and lovely sociable house for a big group of a mix of ages from 19-89! "

"We did not expect to have to have our lovely happy dog on a lead whilst in the property grounds. Then we found out why! The owners dog attacked our dog! it was awful, her horrid, viscous dog should be tied up and and should wear a muzzle, it worries us that next time a child could be hurt. The owner was not interested at all, she shouted and argued, she said that it was our fault, that we should read the notes inside the apartment and that our dog should be on a lead (but it’s okay for her...

"Pretty cottage not too far away from a village. Few signs of wear in places but comfy. Bath fantastic, shower really needs sorting. Open tray with short glass screen on one side leads to a wet floor as not designed as a wet room. Parking was tight but we always got a place. Very friendly neighbours with help and good advice. Good WiFi but perhaps the owner may consider upgrading the TV for a bigger one for wet weather entertainment. Enjoyed our stay and would come back."
