"Maison agréable ! Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à 4 dans cette maison. Cependant la maison n'est pas réellement adaptée pour 4 personnes, pas suffisamment de serviettes de bain ni de vaisselle (manque tasses, bols, etc.). Le frigo est suffisant si vous passez un week-end mais un peu petit pour un séjour de plus longue durée. L'endroit calme et paisible. Une très bonne maison tout de même !"

"We had a lovely week here in August. The pool was great for the kids and the peace, quiet and lovely wine was great for the adults. The village is a nice setting and also very quiet this time of year but the local town of Bar-sur-Aube had everything we needed. Location is great with the theme park of Nigloland just 15 minutes away and the wonderful town of Troyes also near for a change of scenery. "Location great. Great layout in property. Great fridge and freezer. Not enough toilets for 15 people and the kitchen sink was appalling, probably a health hazard. The charge for cleaning was excessive on top of a charge per bed for sheets etc. Garden and activities good. There were 2 bikes i think but not great. Pool is small but clean and heated. We had a great holiday despite the negatives. I received flowers from the owner on my birthday and champagne in the fridge. A nice touch."

"Le gîte Chez Marcel se situe dans un village de l'aube. La localisation nous a permis de visiter les environs (Troyes, forêt d'orient, Nigloland et autres villages/châteaux). La maison nous a semblé plus grande que sur les photos, au calme avec vue sur les vignes de champagne. Ça reste une maison de campagne donc une souris était rentré dans la maison pendant notre séjour. Le village n'est pas des plus vivant à part les viticulteurs ! On a tout de même bien profité."

"The whole group really enjoyed staying here for a week in August. There was plenty of parking in the front courtyard. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. Two of us enjoyed playing the grand piano in the upstairs sitting room. It had a lovely tone. This room was a beautiful and quiet space away from the action downstairs. "Superbly located property in easy walking distance of Bar sur Aube. Ideally situated within walking distance of at least 4 champagne houses. If you love Champagne this is the place for you. The property was more than ideal for the two of us with plenty of space to spread out; including on a beautifully appointed terrace. Great to have access to a bbq. Kind, sympathetic and generous owners. We loved it here and are already planning our return visit next year."

"The host was very friendly and allowed us into the Gite 2 hour early. However, despite the owner appearing fussy about cleanliness, the gite was dirty on places. For example, the bath mat was covered in mould (prejudicial to health). Cobwebs were plentiful. The bed had old taty bedding. No towels provided!"
