"I was visiting with family. I’d requested a ground floor room because of mobility issues, which was accommodated. The single room was cosy and comfortable. Nice walk in power shower with multiple heads and great selection of complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I ate in the restaurant four times notwithstanding the breakfast time. The menu is varied and reasonably priced given the high quality of the food which seemed to be cooked to order. Similarly the breakfast menu was varied and is cooked to order while there is a self service continental menu. The members of staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Special mention to charming Lesley, the attentive Joshua and Vicky in the restaurant and best wishes to Jo in her fundraising as she trains for the London Marathon for a deserving cause "

"Very friendly staff made this a thoroughly lovely experience. From the glass fo wine handed to you on arrival, you are left with the impression that the staff simply can't do enough for you. Excellent food in the restaurant (supper and breakfast) with prompt service thoughout. Even thought this was only a business stay, I would highly recommend this hotel to people visiting the area."

"The city centre is within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is marvellous, choose between continental, cooked or both. The hotel is on the main road, so during school and home time it is very busy and you can hear the cars, but at night it is very quiet. My room is number 22, on the front door, also on the road, and I could hear all the noises, from the very early baggage landings and cars. The executive room is very spacious, has a walk-in shower and 2 armchairs and a coffee table. The toilet system is old so you hear and wake up when someone flushes the toilet. The location to the city is good, but next time we will choose a quieter place. "
