"No lift so if you are carrying anything heavy be prepared to carry them upstairs. Staff was kind but basically they are only there from 10am to 3pm while theybclean the rooms that are getting vacant. After that you can only get service if you call or mqil them. Rooms get cleanead in a per visit basic so avoid long stays."

"On Hotels.com there is no information that this place has a shared bathroom. It only states a shared kitchen which I find okay. Overall it is clean, but it strongly depends on who else is staying at this place."

"The location is extremely close to all beautiful attractions. Walking distance to malls and historical places; chocolate shops. The stairs are so sharp and our room was on 4 th floor. I made a booking almost 1 month ahead and I am almost 60 years old. I asked them to give us a lower level room. No availability. And the toilet was outside. Make sure you don’t get the 4 th level."

"I would love to come back to this hotel! Loved the room, it’s in a good location in the city to visit attractions. However the walls of the hotel are pretty thin so you can hear almost everything around you, that’s the only negative. Other than that i really enjoyed my stay!"

"The property is wonderfully located. It is a nice historic house and the bedroom and bath are very spacious. The problem for us was that the tub is a high step over the rim and the shower is only hand held. Since my husband has double knee replacement, this was a problem and providing a step stool would have made life easier. Although I like a chilly bedroom at night, it was also quite cold during the day. The owner seemed quite put out that we mentioned these problems."

"Beautiful facility. Friendly staff and great breakfast. I wanted to especially call out that the staff accomodated my 83 year old friend by moving us from an upstairs room with a lot of stairs to the cottage."

"It was a shame that we could only stay here for a few nights because we absolutely loved our stay. The property really has a classic old-world feel to it. But, it’s also very clean and our room was very spacious. The owner did a wonderful job restoring the building and is an excellent host. Highly recommend staying here. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else if I ever find myself back in Brussels again. "

"Erick (and his fluffy cats) welcomed us to his lovely home for our Christmas market break. He was an incredibly friendly host, sharing plenty of recommendations for things to do in the local area. His breakfasts are entirely homemade, with bread, yoghurt, and jams that he bakes/prepares himself. He even presses his own orange juice. "Perfect location for walking to the sights or catching public transit. Front desk staff was oriented and very kind and helpful. Despite food menu at the bar area I was told there is no food available (there is a nice cafe for breakfast) so drinks but no food to go with. Nice room - very well appointed with plenty of towels!! Great value for the money!!"

"We stayed at this hotel during a recent trip to Brussels. We picked it because it was close to the things that we were planning to do. It ended up being a little further away than we had anticipated, but still a walkable distance from the medieval city center and the entertainment district. The hotel is beautiful and situated right next to the city botanical Gardens. It is safe and the staff was so kind and welcoming to us. We had wonderful amenities. This hotel State was halfway through our two week trip and so we enjoyed having a nice restaurant and Access to services and concierge. We would definitely stay at another Hoxton property. "
