"Stayed for four nights and absolutely had an amazing time in the La Fortuna area and at this property. Everything was very well maintained, clean, and cared for. Property grounds are immaculate - as others have mentioned - photos do not do it justice. We saw large iguanas and a sloth on the property, which was an unexpected treat. "This is a simple and beautiful place where we enjoyed spending a lot of our time at the property. The nature trail, the hummingbirds, the views, the other wildlife and the peace made each day a wonder.In the yard we saw 9 different species of hummingbirds, coatis, white-faced monkeys and other birds and butterflies. We especially liked having Lillian's food waiting for us each day so we didn't have to figure out where to eat! She prepared olla de carne, veggies, tortillas, guac, the best pico...

"Our family had a great time in La Fortuna! The check in process was straightforward and Karen was very responsive anytime we needed to contact her. We had a little issue with the safe and Karen arrived within the hour to give us the key and resolve the issue. The air conditioning worked well, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was as described. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"One of the nicest places we have stayed in either the best and most helpful hosts. Great location - on the edge of town with a view of the volcano but easy walk into town for dinner. Stefano had the best ideas for tours and can book for you with a discount. Do not hesitate to book here!"

"Host was warm and hospitable and always happy to help. Responsive. House was well furnished with lots of bedding and towels, etc. Location was quiet and a little remote so definitely need your own transportation, but overall it was a very pleasant stay further aided by the host's hospitality."

"We stayed here in 2019 as well. Incredible views of Lake Arenal, volcano and jungle with howler monkeys and beautiful birds. We love the Eagle's Nest for a morning coffee and just to enjoy the view. 30 minutes from La Fortuna and 5 minutes from 3 nice restaurants and markets. Will go back again in the future. "
