"We were transfered to their sister hostel on arrival, it was quite disorganised. Room was ok, Im fine with stripping the beds in hostels, but was surprised to see we even had to take the bin out! Breakfast was ok, as basic as can be."

Apollo Bay Backpackers Lodge

2.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (211)
"The person working there is on his own. The outside needs cleaning and painting desperately. There's dirt, dead leaves, garbage and cigarette butts lying around outside. Top of the Otways the Country Cottage

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (64)
"This accomodation has everything going for it for a prefect short getaway from the suburbs of Melbourne. The brewery in Forrest was the perfect stop for a late lunch on the way. We particularly enjoyed the cues. Goats, chickens and sheet. Max was friendly and was there to great us as we arrived. Such a quiet location. We ventured to Stevensons falls which was a highlight of our trip then to Apollo Bay. Both places very accessible and a short drive. "

"Our room looked out over the ocean -- a beautiful view. We just had two issues with the room: the bed was very, very soft and when the doors and windows were closed, it smelled strongly of fish. So we kept everything open and were happy for the breeze and to hear the waves crashing all night. "
