"The property is in a great location for exploring Apollo Bay or stopping over on your journey along the Ocean Road. Located just on the edge of town (5 minutes walk into the main shopping area) the motel is well situated - lots of parking and neat, spotlessly clean, well equipped apartments. We had an upstairs (no lift) apartment with a double and single. Nicely laid out with a shower ensuite and a kettle for making coffee and tea. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient. The price was very competitive in comparison with other similar looking properties online and was great value for money in a busy time of the year. Would definitely come back."

"I must say that I have been delighted with this place, located in one of the most beautiful parks in Australia. The Cape Otway Lighthouse is 2 -3 km away. You wake up in the morning and most likely you will see a Koala at the top of the tree in front of your tent or van. The staff was really attentive."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Country Cottage. Max and Katie made us feel very welcome. The cottage was like walking into Nan's place, it was warm and inviting, exceptionally clean and tidy, and had every single thing you could think of, including plenty of big comfy towels. Unusual for this type of accommodation! There is a wood fire that made us feel like we never wanted to leave. Max is such a considerate host that not only was the fire built, but it included a lucifer fire starter and the match was leaning up against it right in front of you! You couldn't get any more dedicated than that. Stand out on the balcony and you can see the goats. Grab your bucket of food and go down and give them all a handful. When you have finished, jump in the car and head down to Stephenson's Fall for a walk, a quick 10 minute drive, maybe stop at the Forrest Brewery on the way, or even head down to Apollo Bay for a swim, a nice 30 minute drive from the cottage.If you are looking for a home away from home then this is your "go to place". Take a good book, don't forget your bathers, but leave your laptop at home, you won't regret the peace and quiet this place offers you. "

"One of the best motels we have ever been. The reception and management were most friendly and kind. Very generous. The pool and spa was amazing, and just a walking distance from the beach. Things that can improve is clothing line (possibly?), refill toilet papers esp for long staying guests, uncover the spa during the opening hours. "
