"We loved our sea view villa. Close to town. Beautiful view. Clean. Huge! Cons: needs directions how to work things such as dishwasher, fireplace, temperature controls and washing machine. Lots of stais to haul your suitcase up to the villa. It was off season so reception staff not readily available to answer questions. "

"Our stay at the villa was a really great experience, mark and Roger were really helpful with assisting with every inquiry we had. The villa is really in a great location in Carvoeiro with restaurants & shops just a walking distance away. And also really has a amazing view of the sea from the top"

"We loved everything about our 4 week stay at this beautiful home. Amazing views, and a comfortable and well thought out floor plan that would suit a group of 6 - 8. Nicely finished interior with a modern aesthetic . That being said, I’m guessing the property is 20+ years old with original finishing, appliances, dishes, bedding, air conditioners, blinds and tile work. There is water damaged walls inside and out. This gem deserves a refresh! Sad to see the gorgeous pool with missing or poorly...

"This is a great place to stay. Super clean and very well-equipped. Just a short walk to the beach and there are some good restaurants nearby if you don't want to go into the old town. Also close to a large supermarket and theres a mini-market 5 mins walk away. The host is also very helpful and responsive to communications. Overall highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay at Janelo do Mar. The villa is in a great location near restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches. We had a few issues which Isabel did her best to sort out. One point I would raise is the lack of lighting by the BBQ area. We were only a family of 4 so could eat during the evening at the small table outside the villa overlooking the pool but we couldn’t see to BBQ! "Overall the property and location were good. However, the villa would benefit from some "routine maintenance" which would have given it 5 stars from us. When we arrived, the dishwasher didn't work. We reported it and 3 days later, they took the old one away and left us with nothing for the rest of our stay. "The villa is lovely, spacious, clean, and in a perfect location. We paid for the pool heating and it was well worth it! The pool was lovely. I will say that the bed was definitely way too hard for me and this was agreed by the other members who stayed at the villa with us. The only down fall was the checkin process with villa Algarve. Spacious, beautifully maintained and well equipped villa with everything required for a fun and practical family holiday with small children. We particularly liked that it felt like a real home rather than just a rental property. We also thought that the villa had character for a modern property thanks to the lovely mature trees in the garden and the Portuguese style furnishings"

Beautiful rooms and amazing staff!

"The staff at this hotel are amazing! They are so helpful, so friendly, so welcoming! The first day we arrived they immediately helped us settle in. Showed us the beautiful premises and gave us some info about the area, where to eat etc. the lady was so sweet, she was always engaging our kids and even gave them beautiful colouring books which my kids loved. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the parking is easy, safe and free. The area is very walkable and close to a lot of attractions. The room is big and comfortable, we had a huge bed and big sofa bed. There is a really great communal kitchen which you can also eat in. I highly recommend staying here. This place was a highlight of our trip. "
