When I contacted the host with questions a few days before our stay they got back to me quickly. The only negatives were: a few of the items they said were included in the listing were actually not (firewood, paper towel, no hand soap in the kitchen); the bathroom in the primary bedroom has a jetted tub but only a handheld attachment for showers (it is not mounted) which...

"We stayed at this property with our 3 kids for a long weekend of skiing. The property exceeded expectations. It was clean, warm, location was fantastic and the pool was icing on the cake. Even when the kids were tired from skiing, they jumped right in the pool. They slept well each night. "The cottage is very cute and a great place for a solo vacation alongside a lake! Everything needed for cooking is available in the kitchen, and plenty of room in the fridge for groceries needed on vacation. "Great communication, great spot for smores, love the basement, well stocked! if you stay in July the temp upstairs is very hot unless you figure out how to hold the AC temp lower on main floor, and it doesn't return to normal settings after 8hrs on its own. I would definitely come back as the relaxing setting is just right for vaca!"

"We love this spot and will come back, either in the Fall to sit around the fire on the patio or next year for Blueberry season. The stars at night were lovely. You're close to Douglas/Saugatuck and can enjoy all they have to offer but return 'home' for quiet evenings and mornings (with a lovely rooster next door). The goodies were much appreciated!
