Just completed a 3 night stay at the Korbua hotel in Bangkok. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We had a canal view room and whilst fairly basic it had everything we needed (considering you don’t spent that much time in your room when visiting Bangkok). Every member of staff was pleasant and polite especially at breakfast, house keeping would also leave a bag of essentials (toilet roll and bottled water) outside your room when you left the do not disturb sign on.
Had seen a couple of comments about a smell in an around the hotel, while we did notice this it is no fault of the hotel - I think it is just from the general vicinity and you can’t expect much less when visiting a city in that kind of heat.
The location was fantastic, within walking distance of attractions like the grand palace, wat pho. It is also a 5-10 minute walk from the Khao San area without all of the noise at night time!
The only negative is that we did hear some noise from other guests at night time. This is not because guests were particularly loud, it was just the acoustics of the rooms/floors. It was only the opening/closing of room doors etc so not a big disturbance.
Overall a pleasant stay and we would return if in Bangkok again.
