You get what you pay for... booked a private room with air conditioning. What wasn’t mentioned was the constant noise from the alley right outside the paper thin walls. Even with ear plugs, you’re constantly being woken up. If not from the alley, then from the noise in the hallway. Sounded like they were doing dishes right outside my room for several hours at 4am.
The bed was hard as a rock and totally uncomfortable. Barely got any sleep between that and the constant noise. The room was very old and run down, with stains on the walls and a ceiling that looks like it was falling apart.
There’s a “wet bathroom” in the private room. The shower was nice and hot, but there was hardly any water pressure. Just washing the shampoo pot of your hair was a chore.
The location was decent, just a few blocks from Khao San Rd, but that’s about the only good thing about this place.
Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else if you want a good nights sleep.
