Leon and Thanadeck were helpful and responded to our queries super quick during our stay in their apartment. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge and utensils so we were not short of anything. There is a nice food area near the petrol station which is a couple of minutes walk from the apartment where there are many little cafes and restaurants offering reasonable food at reasonable prices, just go round the area and take your time to slowly examine the various food offers in the different cafes and restaurants before making your choice. We were happy with the quality of the foods there and the prices were very reasonable. There is also a 7-11 there so very convenient.
The apartment is 5-7 minutes walk to the Punawithi BTS station, or you can catch the free shuttle from apartment to the station (I believe the shuttle is available only on weekdays). If your group consists of 3 people or more, it is cheaper to take a taxi to places like Terminal 21(Aoke area), cost is about 90 to 100 bahts (BTS fare is about 32 bahts per way, I think). The only thing is from Asoke area or Terminal 21, it can be a bit difficult to get a taxi to go back to the apartment at night after shopping because taxi drivers may be choosy and may not be willing to go by meter. However, if you are patient and can wait a bit, you will get a taxi driver who is prepared to use meter to take you back to the apartment. We managed it every time, just a bit of waiting, no problem.
The facilities that come with renting of the apartment are wonderful, swimming pool, gym and library. The laundrette is equipped with many washing machines, small ones cost 30 bahts per wash, big machines cost 40 bahts per wash, very convenient and easy to use. Oh, there are ironing board and iron in the apartment as well but we did not use them so can't comment on that but I am sure they are ok to use too. By the way, shampoo and shower gel are provided in the shower room in the apartment.
The MaxValue supermarket is handy and opens 24 hours, packed cooked food plus all the necessary items one normally needs are available so again super convenient. We did not try the cafe in the apartment compound.
We use the taxi service quite often as we are a group of 3 so it worked out quite economical to travel by taxi although the BTS/MRT services in Bangkok are very good. costed us about 150 bahts from apartment to Erawan shrine, about 140 bahts to...
