"We loved the idea of staying in a castle and that in itself was magical. We stayed in the Cromwell Suite which is big. The kids loved the extra room to roam. The high ceiling in the living/2nd bed area was nice and contributed to the majestic feel.There were however a few things that could have been better. "Cromwell Lodge was good value, especially over Christmas. Staff were friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable if quite dated. The whole hotel needs a bit of a refurb, but it could be absolutely wonderful."

"A very friendly welcome, family room was clean and tidy and nice & warm. Excellent pub food - definitely worth pre-booking a table as gets very busy. Breakfast was excellent too. Great service, lovely place from which to explore. Would happily stay again!"

"Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The pub is a lovely country pub. Its right next door to Hook brewery which does a lovely breakfast. The room we had was large and spacious for all 4 of us. We highly recommend this pub."
