"We hadn’t appreciated what a gorgeous location this property was in. The view from the front of the cottage over the reservoir is gorgeous, and a first floor reading nook is so cosy and gives the feeling of being by the sea side! The property is really tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home from home. The check in process was really smooth and easy to understand. "We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. "We spent a cold and wet weekend in the Peak District but, fortunately, the cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and warm after a cold walk.Lots of walks nearby and the walk from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back was lovely, despite the mud.
