"My husband and I a wonderful time visiting Cork city and staying at the conveniently located Issacs Hotel near the river and all the shopping and dining at our doorstep. The hotel is a remodel of a historic property with touches of antiquity instead of the usual boring hotel box. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, even allowing us to check in a bit earlier when they were full to capacity on a Saturday night before Easter Sunday. The bar and restaurant is lively attracting locals as well as tourists but I didn’t feel it was excessively noisy in our room and the party disbanded at an appropriate time to get a good nights rest. We thought the breakfast buffet was above average for its type and they brought out an enormous pot of coffee right away. Thanks. We’d definitely return if we’re in the area again."

"Loved this place! The rooms were not exciting but clean, quiet, and comfortable. The best parts are the location and communal areas. Great lobby, bar, restaurant areas that were comfortable and inviting to hang out with our family. Beautiful outdoor area with heating to enjoy a drink and play card games. Short walk to the downtown area for shopping and eating. We loved Cork! Parking is a bit of a nightmare but it all worked out."

"The staff was fantastic and so accommodating. I had chocolates and water next to the night stand every night. I had issues with my card when I arrived after an overnight flight. I was exhausted after a long flight and arrived around 11 am. They called housekeeping and got my room ready early so that I could rest and told me we would sort out the card after I had time to rest. Unbelievable customer service and all done with a smile. Would definitely stay there again. Great job!"

"Great hotel with a beautiful view over the park. Within walking distance of the town and all attractions. A short walk to the railway station to visit Fota or Cork city. The trains can be busy when the Cruise ships are docked, but they are pretty impressive to see which adds to the experience of visiting Cobh. The hotel bedroom was spacious and spotlessly clean. Complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee muffins and biscuits. There is a bar & bistro which also becomes the breakfast room. Unfortunately there is no lounge to relax in during the day to enjoy a coffee & perhaps read a book. Just a few tables and chairs beside the reception which is quite busy. There is a reasonable choice for breakfast, all cooked to order, it was prompt and delicious. Which is great as I absolutely hate self service ban marie type breakfasts but on the 3rd morning I would have preferred a lighter breakfast ie cereal, fresh fruit etc We ate in the Bistro one of the evenings & the food was lovely & reasonably priced. This hotel has the must welcoming, friendly and helpful staff I have encountered in a long time travelling. They are a credit to the owners. I would highly recommend this Hotel if staying in Cobh. You will be well looked after. "
