"Was moved to a room that had better Wi-Fi coverage, a minor inconvenience but the staff were always most helpful. Everything else was very comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the swimming pool.. Had breakfast and a couple of evening meals which were a good standard. In the evenings the staff were faultless and I enjoyed the comfort with a pint of Guinness. Many thanks, I stayed for four nights and would recommend this hotel. Ron Sweeney."

"We had a wonderful stay. We had a kettle for tea or coffee in our room with milk provided and delicious little cookies as well. Hillary, the owner brought us a water in a pitcher and glasses if we were thirsty. Breakfast was delicious with options ranging from a full breakfast to a continental breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay."

"Staff Reception and Management were all fantastic! Our stay was at a time just after the major storm but nothing was too much. I had flown in from Portugal but the stories I heard from local people who the hotel had looked after during this awful time was amazing. Well done The Ellison. "Couldn’t fault hotel, arrived early and they let me check in a bit earlier than advised. Food good and staff were very helpful too. "

"Good was good. Have lettle and tea and coffe in the room. The sink tap was a bit too loose but not a major issue. The room service came into the room without knocking the door. It was a shock. Checking out no staffs at the front desk. Ok but nothing major. "

"If you like a modern hotel this is not the place for you. It is full of interesting old memorabilia and history. I have never come across such personable friendly staff. Fabulous meals in both the restaurant and the cafe. "
