"Very sorry to leave this review, I am 188cm tall, I booked a single room, there was no information prior to say the shower and ceiling height was massively reduced in size, I could not stand up to shower, I have a neck injury and it was very uncomfortable. Room was fine otherwise warning really for tall people! I booked this as part of a longer trip to sicily, specifically for the pool, which they closed on my second hot day. "This accommodation had an excellent location, just off a quiet street and felt very safe and secure. There was a lift to our place. The furniture was a little old and basic, but it suited our needs and the location made up for the "frugality" (e.g. no corkscrew, shower gel etc - unless you pay extra). "The hotel Al-Taïr Via Duca Degli Abruzzi 83 San Vito LoCapo is a hotel I would recommend. Very clean and owner available every day if you wished information or help. Less than a five minute walk to the beach. My only negative point was the breakfast buffet was the same every day. Air conditioning worked and tv had Sky available as well as terrestrial stations."

"Do not book. This hotel does not align with the photos - it is very cheap materials and construction. My husband was locked in the bathroom for almost an hour, the elevator broke, and the front door to our room wouldn’t close. We stayed only one night of the 5 we booked and they told us that these issues with the space were our fault and refuse to refund our cancelled nights. Just don’t even book it"
