"Someone recommended this hostel and I'm glad they did. I do not know of any other hostel that includes breakfast and it is very good ( my only tip would be for breakfast is to provide a selection of "mini crossiants" rather than cakes with your coffee! The staff are really friendly and helpful too! I also like how the cleaner cleans your room everyday and making everything look clean ( shout out to the CLEANER'S, THANK YOU)"

"They were very welcoming! Everything was well cared for, the community space was always open for anyone (they didn't even really mind when people would let others in when the receptionists were off, since usually it was either well-known friends or other guests wanting to get out of the sun, etc). The kitchen was clean, and even though the beds were all rather cramped together and it was a little hard to get up into the top bunk every night, I had a genuinely rlly good experience there"

"Definitely the most basic hostel I've stayed in. There are no staff and no doors on the dorms so minimal privacy. There are three floors and you need to pass through every other dorm to get to the top floor. Therefore, if you're staying on the first or second floor, people will be passing through your room to get to the floors above. "This hostel is exactly the type of hostel that I love to stay in. Very accommodating and friendly staff who have a great wealth of knowledge on Malta. A very clean hostel, the cleaning staff seem to do an amazing job every day. The common areas are ideal for relaxing in after a long day/night in the heat too, very peaceful. It's a great haven on a busy island."

"This was a very bizzare property. It’s NOT a hotel. It’s a 3 Bedroom apartment with locking bedroom doors. There is a common living room and common kitchen. The property is run from an office in Italy and they don’t do well with English. The wi-fi was terrible and the beds were awful. "Lovely clean apartment, well equiped for self catering. We did book breakfast but the buffet restaurant closed due to being out of season. However the staff brought breakfast to order every morning to our room, which was lovely. I asked for an extra blanket (before we worked the heating out) which was delivered promptly. Nothing was to much trouble. Bars and restaurants all close by. "

"Excellent place to stay! Friendly people, beautiful accommodations! Perfectly located and has a rooftop pool to boot! The only criticism would be the mattresses… they were too firm for our liking and it made it hard to sleep, but we like soft beds so anyone else may not have an issue at all. We are already planning our next trip to Malta and plan to book here again"

"10/10 - FAULTLESS I celebrated my 29th birthday here over a weekend with 22 friends and the hotel accommodated to every single need I requested. They went above and beyond for me, the treatment and customer service I received was like no other. It truly was a faultless trip and that’s down to the efforts of all the staff, but in particular Martina!! Thank you again! Xx"

"Loved Malta stay at Grand Hotel Excelsior. The moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and welcome drink. Raj Kumar was very friendly and helpful from front desk. He guided us on taking the Gozo day trip on our own. Excellent customer service by Raj and all others at the hotel. Reading some negative reviews on the hotel I was bit hesitant on booking, but the hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel is walkable to the main center of Valleta. Rooms were spacious with daily housekeeping. We enjoyed our stay three days stay with Excelsior. Breakfast was good with ample choices. We would certainly stay here on our next Malta trip. Highly recommend it. "

"Malta is an exceptional country. This hotel, while not in Valletta proper, is on a number of bus routes. Malta has no train so all transportation is by bus or ferry. It's very easy. The hotel is terrific. No complaints. "

"There is nothing I can criticise with regards to the Hotel Gomerino. On arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe suite which was a great size with a seperate sitting area. Breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly and professional. A huge thing in this Hotels favour is that it is 1 minute walk away from all the restaurants and bars in Merchant St, however we never heard any noise. A great boutique hotel. "
