The flat is on the second floor of a lovely traditional German farmhouse, near enough to Lake Constance to be able to explore the beautiful towns and villages on the lake itself, but far enough away to escape the tourists. The main level was okay temperature wise with a travel fan; however, the third floor was horrible even with a travel fan. I would highly recommend investing in two fans per room or air conditioning.
