"this is not your average place to stay. Off the beaten track at the top of a very old village. Once booked in time to take a deep breath and enjoy the scenery and the house dog and cat. This is a rustic house so don't expect perfection and enjoy the experience. The host cooked a delicious 3 course dinner for us with wine costing 20 euros each and there was a fully stocked bar charged at very reasonable rates. "Pay for premium hotel prices, however you dont get premium hotel price service. Bring your own laundry, cleaning supplies and linens. Its like staying in a very expensive hostel. Staff are friendly, but the price isn't worth the room. And you hope the people that stayed before you clean it to an industry standard. Room lacked comfortable seating, something you should expect when staying for a week(?)."

"The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."
