"Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little town. The property was charming and well equipped. I would suggest reviewing the bed itself, it was hard as a rock and we had back pain. Also consider adding two more pillows. Would be nice to have some basic body wash in the shower. Did provide hand soap. Other than that, well equipped kitchen, comfortable, excellent lighting and communication with us was excellent and timely. It was all in Portuguese so don’t know about English being spoken. Keep in mind you must have a vehicle, no sidewalks here but there are nice cafes nearby. "

"Very nice surroundings "

"Excellent hotel matched by value for money. It is fairly new, well managed and cared for. Located in a central place in Santo Tirso itself. First impressions make you think the bed will be squeaky and it can be a little but the mattress is extremely comfortable. A great night sleep. The rooms are a good size, well looked after with a great shower. There is also a useful mini fridge in the room. Staff are always polite and helpful. I don’t usually choose the breakfast option as I prefer to go to the supermarket and have my own choices in my room. Very happy every stay time i stay in this hotel. "

"This one was one of the most impressive and romantic stays I had in years. When we looked at the pictures on the website, we were pleased with everything and booked reservation with high expectations. But when we came to the location, our expectations were surpassed. Super-clean room, a mind-blowing interior, and a view from the balcony. Excellent accommodation! I had a feeling that we were staying at the house of very good friend. I definitely recommend the place to anyone who is looking for a romantic place. Five start for me. "

"Tops"

"If you like old & rustic this is the place for you. It was a little hard to find but a nice distance out of Porto, shops close by also. Very spacious home but needs a little updating. The towels were old with a rough feel to them & didn’t dry properly. The kitchen needs some extra cooking tools such as an egg flip & tongs. Overall it was a nice place to stay but needs some TLC. Hosts were very helpful & accommodating. "

"We checked in and immediately was appalled at the smell our room had. A combination of BO and whatever chemical/cleaning solution they used to try to mask it. The AC was not working properly and opening windows did not help (street view room). By 8pm on the check-in day we asked the person at the front desk to check out and for a refund. They called the manager and agreed to it, however we were told to cancel through orbitz as we booked through the third party. When we created a ticket to ask for a refund, orbitz customer service said they need to confirm with the manager. After waiting 3 days we got an email saying the Hotel management could not be contacted and did not approve our refund. This is all addition to the ongoing renovations on the building while we were supposed to stay there AND the door locks not working. So the staff had to go and unlock every guests room each time you would come back to your room. I recognize that this is a small town, however, if in the hospitality business customers need to be considered a bit more. This place is out to make money even though their hotel and rooms are not suitable for hosting anyone. I do not recommend this "hotel" anyone staying in Santo Tirso."
