"This Quinta exceeded our expectations. It is situated in a rural and beautiful area. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. There’s also a much larger town not too far from the Quinta, called Penafiel. The villa where we stayed had a breathtaking view of both the vineyard and river. "Hotel needs a serious upgrade / revamp, walls dirty and carpets worn and dirty. Couch in room dirty; horrible mattresses and pillows; hair in beds; carpet stained, worn and dirty; walls marked and scuffed; kitchenette terrible - taps and sink dirty, extractor oily and smelly. "Myself and my wife loved staying here it was a beautiful guest house very traditional. We were visiting family so found tbe guest house to be very convenient . If i had to moan about anything it would be the thin walls between the rooms we could here the couple in the next room very clearly which was a little annoying at times but usually only when we wanted to sleep. And again its a very small moan becuase they may of been loud people. The breakfast was great and Siri the cat kept us company...

"This is a beautiful location in the hills accessible to Porto. Spacious property. We appreciated the decent-sized pool, the fruit trees and the games room. Communication with the owners was excellent and Miguel was always very helpful. The property is15+ minutes walk to the train station. Bolt taxis are not expensive. So we found this worked well without hiring a car. Lovely holiday."
