"This was an excellent location to host friends. We used the Acorn for a space to get ready for our wedding. We were able to have the wedding party stay with us without feeling on top of each other. There was enough space for the guys to get ready downstairs while we got ready with hair and makeup upstairs. The Acorn was great for pre ceremony photos too. Visiting in late November, we didn't make use of the lakeside location or outdoor firepit, but the living room fireplace was very easy to use and provided extra warmth and ambiance. "Positives: Nice setting, clean enough, beds were comfortable, enjoyed kayaks and canoe Negatives: Multiple code violations: 1 visible smoke detector, hot water heater not working/grounded, gas stove wouldn't light, insufficient pots and pans, master bedroom didn't have clean towels (had to wash wet /dirty towels), no hair dryers, no directions on how to close up house, leaking ceiling in kitchen,pontoon boat not working"
