Find Hotel with a Concierge in Asuncion

"Very economical and fine for my one night, but I was told not to leave the property after dark....unsafe. As no one at the hotel speaks English, and my Espanol is poor, I'm not clear if that meant it was unsafe for me because I was a tourist or if that applied to everyone. Again, for my one night, it was very economical and just fine. "

"If you are coming to Asuncion, strongly consider staying at the Arthaus Boutique. It's about 5-10 minutes outside of "downtown" Asuncion, but as you'll find, there really isn't much in "downtown" Asuncion. Instead the area around Arthaus is a more upscale area with private homes, and walking distance to two major shopping areas, restaurants, and higher end spots. "I communicated my arrival time on the Hotel web messaging service after the hotel wrote to me on it. When I arrived, the hotel was locked up solid, no light, no one answering door or phone. My cab driver took me to a different hotel. If Beulah Hotel charged my credit card, I will dispute it."
