"We had an amazing stay at the cottage after arriving directly from an international flight from the US to visit family in the military. Very clean and matched the photos exactly. Easy walk into town. We brought our 2 year old and the owners had everything so thoughtfully set up (pack n play; high chair; toys!). We had an amazing time!"

"The place was spacious and made an excellent base for exploring the Suffolk area whilst being really quiet. Shower wasn't great but they'd provided all the utensils you'd need for cooking and enjoying your stay. Bed had a rubber cover and there was a noisy liner under the bed sheet which made it very warm but it was comfortable. Decor and furnishings are fairly budget but it's good value and ultimately a nice space to relax and enjoy the evening after a day out exploring and walking."

"Shingle Cottage is lovely, it felt stylish and cosy all at the same time. It’s in a rural location, perfect for country walks and exploring the nearby towns and villages. We couldn’t have wanted for a nicer place to stay. "

Lovely quiet apartment.

"This is our second stay at the Gatehouse apartment and we love it just as much as the first time. Set a short distance from the main hotel, it is really quiet, with great view of the garden and wooded area. The whole of the ground floor is ours and even with guests above us, it is sound proofed, so no noise. Lovely and clean and a really good size kitchen and dining area. We will be back."

Nice hotel, good stay

"I had an overnight stay while I was in the area for business. The hotel is very nice. My room was a good size for one, and had everything I needed. The furniture is a little dated and shabby compared to the public areas of the hotel, but nothing to complain about. The pool is a good size. The gym is quite small and I imagine quite uncomfortable if too many people were using it at the same time. I did not have breakfast, but dinner in the bar was very nice."

"I didn’t catch her name but the young lady who is assistant manager… what a job she does! She looked after reception, was the main waitress, also serving behind the bar. And no one was left waiting whatsoever and all on a night that the hotel was fully booked. Tremendous job! "
