"The place is unique in my opinion because of a personal touch, attention to details and amazing people working there. I stayed twice in The Spice Ship with my partner, while we're working in the area. There is also a restaurant with very good food. I don't want to stay anywhere else now. "

"Booked this as a short break away. Easy to book, quick confirmation. Good price. Received email allowing us to check in, as we wanted to arrive earlier, they arranged for key to be available for us. "Ideal location for visiting our family."

"Excellent pub food and very welcoming staff.The room was quite comfortable once we got it warmed up but some attention should be given to the doors so that they open and close more easily and perhaps add some lighting on the stairs. These are small in the overall scheme of things though. The breakfast at the nearby farm shop was outstanding."

"Mine was a solo stay for one Saturday night. It’s a lovely clean and comfortable room in a family run country hotel with friendly and generous hosts. I hadn’t booked a table in the restaurant and it was full to capacity but the chef made a delicious light meal for me which I ate in the lounge. Everything about my stay was exceptional. "

" had a to remove the loo paper before you had your shower, otherwise one would get a soggy loo roll as it was situated to near the shower . We ate in the restaurant each evening and the food was very good. ... Personally, being in Lyme Regis, a little more fish on the menu would have been perfect. We would definately go again."

"From the moment we arrived we were given such a warm welcome. Room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Lovely bathroom, fluffy towels. Plenty tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Best breakfast ever. Loved it and will definitely return. "

"Arrived in the dark on a bitterly cold misty February night. Despite the fact that Steve had only just got out of hospital after a hip operation and clearly in pain, he did everything possible to make me welcome and comfortable.
