Weekend get away!

We had a wonderful weekend get away, wish the weather was nicer to be able to enjoy the outside more. Wonderful to sit at the fire at the water and relax. Very clean, very comfortable beds, quiet location.

Peacefulness

This VRBO may have been the best one we have stayed at over the years. The owners go above and beyond. It was very clean, well stocked, and check in went smoothly. This was the perfect fit for us on our mini vacation. We had an amazing time!

Fishing trip

Me and my fishing partner stayed the weekend for a bass tournament. The location was 12 min from the boat dock we launched from and plenty of room to park the truck and boat. The house was cozy and clean!

Just perfect!

Took my son & his friend to see the 2024 Eclipse in the path of totality where this cute cottage was located on the inlet of a lake. It was absolutely perfect for us. It was clean, well stocked, the owner was responsive, generous & accomadating. Staying on a lake can sometimes be buggy even inside the house & there was nothing creepy crawly to be found! The peacefulness & wild life was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & made a super special memory together. I am thankful!

Peace and Relaxation

We had an amazing experience from the time of check in and it continued until check out. Melinda the owner is very prompt an goes above and beyond with information, questions, and anything else you may need. The cottage is so cute and cozy! We loved watching the sunrise from the backyard and having fires in the evenings while watching the sunset over the water. It truly was so peaceful!

Perfect escape for shorter folks

5 stars for the property and the managers. It was the perfect retreat. Kayaks with life jackets, fishing poles with tackle boxes of gear, kitchen stocked with basic oil sprays and spices. Two bedrooms upstairs (Watch your heads... 6'3" clearance), one down across from the bathroom. It was quiet and welcoming, with the creek running through the back yard and the lake in view. The kitchen was easy to cook in, well-stocked for cooking gear, and had a carousel of solid basic spices, a well as a delicious fish blend (smoke version of Old Bay). The only bummer was that if I wanted to watch my college football game I'd need to log in. We basically used YouTube the whole time, so I didn't notice which TV apps were signed in. I'm twitchy about using my login on public devices, so I watched on my phone. :) * I did want to give a heads up - I'm 5'10"and fit in the shower with two inches of head room. The shower is slightly elevated, which brings the ceiling to 6ft even. I've grown up learning how to bend awkwardly, but if you're over 6'0, you'll need to contort yourself the entire shower. I'm not taking off any stars because this is the architectural reality and the property is incredibly welcoming. I hope we'll be back to take advantage of this gorgeous house soon.

Great location, accessible to great activities!

This is a cozy cabin located on a canal with access to Chautauqua Lake. The owner provided recommendations for things to do in the area, and there was plenty to keep us busy for the weekend, including the wonderful Lucille Ball Museum just 15 minutes away in Jamestown, as well as some terrific restaurants. The one downside was the cabin was difficult to find as we arrived in the dark during a snow squall. It does not appear to be located on the street provided on the listing, but in fact on another street. It also sits rather far back from the street, behind a large boat shelter, and there was no light and no number visible from the street, which made it challenging to find. However, once we found it, we had a wonderful time. Future guests should note that the only bathroom is on the first floor, and 2 of the 3 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Also, when unable to enjoy the outdoor areas - as we were due to the frigid temps - there is no table inside to gather around to eat, play games, etc. Space was tight for four, but adequate and charmingly decorated.

Beautiful Property on the Lake

We rented this house for my wife’s birthday and absolutely loved it! We had four people but could have accommodated two more comfortably. The house was very clean and well kept. The location and neighborhood was great. Very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the lake. Extremely close to shopping and restaurants as well as Southern Tier brewery. Highly recommend for a long weekend getaway. Would definitely go back!

Really nice little spot

Had a good time Malinda was nice and responsive and the cottage was wonderful everything was taken care of a thought threw Couldn’t of asked for a better little weekend get away !!
