"Hotel staff was very professional although while checking in, they made us wait uncomfortably for some minutes while they discussed something in German which we didn't understand, before acknowledging we were there standing and in need of service. Beautiful, old-school grand hotel vibes.

"Beautiful, old-school grand hotel vibes. But in the best of ways. Extensive nautical theme, with great regional history. Large, well-appointed rooms. Water-side rooms on upper levels have a stunning view of the canal. Restaurant was very good. Bar/lounge has booked shows, so check in advance and buy tickets if you're interested. Very reasonable on-site parking, but there was always available street parking as well. "
