"We just spent five weeks in Japan and are still talking about the food we ate here. It is nothing short of spectacular. We paid quadruple at other ryokans and this one had the best food, best location and the best onsens. It’s an older place with older, big onsens and for us that was the charm of it. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind. We went skiing one day and snowshoeing the next and ended up seeing a red fox each day. Really can’t recommend this...

"The view of Asahikawa from the 8th floor was stunning. The room had a high ceiling, which made the space seem even larger than it was. The property itself was very clean and inviting, the staff were very friendly, and it was within walking distance from the Asahikawa train station, a handful of convenience stores (including the excellent Seicomart), and several ramen restaurants that ended up selling out twice during my 3 night stay. "Beautiful resort style hotel. Everything you need onsite. Onsen was nice. The private onsen on the rooms deck was very nice. Nice staff. only food I had was at the cafeteria style restaurant they have. Very good food and reasonably priced "

"Room is small for families but clean and comfortable. Cleaning is not done daily and some amenities are self service. It would be nice to have some staff help with the luggage as porter services are non existent. The dryer onsite is very weak and did not dry clothes well even after 45 mins use."

"It's a two-story hotel in the center of BA. I used it comfortably because there was a Korean employee. The parking lot was too spacious and the breakfast was just right for the price. There is a convenience store nearby that takes 5 minutes. The BA station takes 2 minutes. There is a big supermarket that takes about 10 minutes on foot."
