"We had a wonderful 3 day stay at the Valkyrie cabin...my husband and I very much enjoyed the privacy, beauty and conveniences of this cabin and location. We hope to return again with family and venture more down the lovely river and trails.If you're truly looking to get AWAY...this is the place!"

"Met with adult children for the weekend. Very enjoyable weekend. Used the hot tub, played multiple games of pool, tried ping pong, but not a favorite as it required a little more exercise than we desired (chasing the ball) lol! Had a campfire a couple of nights. Very enjoyable! Fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. Kitchen very well stocked with all the supplies you could need for cooking, which we did the whole time. No need to go anywhere. "Our stay at the farmhouse was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house itself is wonderfully cozy and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time without any worries. One night, we bundled up next to the fire pit, and there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm.The animals were a delightful part of our stay. We got to know the horses, goats, dogs, and cats by name, and they greeted us each day. The red hound even made sure we were tucked in...

"We came down a few days to visit my husbands family for Thanksgiving. This is the perfect quiet getaway we needed. The home was stocked with cookware, charcoal and grill, firewood and outdoor fire pit and has 2 private bedrooms. Loved the roomy sofa to relax on in the living room! No wifi but we have Verizon Wireless and used our smart phones to hook up wirelessly to the tv to watch what we wanted on the smart tv when the sun went down. You’ll never regret getting to look up at the Alabama night...

"The views are amazing through the window. Or even on the back porch with the swing and chairs. The master room has an amazing view too. Close to Cloudland canyon, 30 minutes. And Walmart, 15 minutes. Quite secluded. And that’s nice. The bathrooms are really small but that’s fine. The kitchen is small. But that’s fine. The downstairs beds are really uncomfortable, but that doesn’t really matter with the view. "

"The cabin is pretty good, about what I would expect for the price point. It is spacious and clean enough (not spotless). It worked just fine for a family of four hiking enthusiasts. However, it would NOT sleep 8 people. The living room furniture is terribly uncomfortable. The master bed needs a platform or box spring to raise it to a reasonable height. I did appreciate being able to do laundry, and the kitchen had everything needed for basic meals. The location and woodland setting are...
