My extended family had a weekend retreat that consisted of 4 small children, ages 3 through 7, and 6 adults. The 10 of us all under one roof.
We were nervous that there wouldn't be enough room, but the cabin has 3 nice sized bedrooms and a very large loft. It was plenty big.
All the amenities are as described, and everything was in working order. The home was clean and the owner is an extremely nice man and very easy to work with. He has a small home on the property, but keeps to himself, gives you your space, and you'd never know he was there.
The home is truly beautiful and well maintained. I would recommend it to anyone.
The kids enjoyed playing football and other games in the large yard, and going on walks through this beautiful area. You are centrally located between the towns of Bennington and Manchester, both of which we visited for local attractions, and on occasion, to dine out and stock the refrigerator.
I recommend the Sunnyside Diner as a good local breakfast place in Bennington, and the PriceChopper as the grocery store, both in Bennington.
The only thing I could mention that could be a negative for you, but wasn't an issue for us, is that both showers are inside above-ground tubs. You have to step in and out. Yet, it wasn't a big deal for my 68 year old mother with a hip replacement, although I worried a bit.
I initially searched for homes with a wood burning fireplace. I suppose I am a traditionalist. As it turned out, this was a non-issue and I didn't miss the mess or fuss AT ALL.
Having WiFi was terrific, and a must for us, and although it wasn't the speed I am accustomed to at home, it did just fine. My kids were able to watch Netflix and stream video without issue.
We did several loads of laundry, which was convenient, and the owner provided everything necessary from laundry detergent to towels and bedding.
We searched quite a bit before deciding to rent this home. It's got great value for the money. If you choose to stay there, you will be disappointed.
