"When checking in we had an issue with our reservations, and the woman (don’t remember her name) at the desk was wonderful about straightening out the issue. The room was very comfortable and clean. Would highly recommended this hotel to anyone traveling in the area. We will definitely stay here again when in the area."

"This is our second time staying at the Lion Downe Cabin, and we hope to return for a third visit. The outdoor hot tub in winter is "the bomb." Wonderful to sit outside in the cool, crisp air, looking at the stars from a nice warm jetted tub. Everything worked correctly. Even though we were there in winter, the walkway is clear (sanded and salted). The cabin was warm and cozy. Comfortable beds. We saw several eagles, a few deer, and quite a few ice fishing tents on the lake. The cabin is about a 15 minute drive to the nearest restauarant (The Outpost), which was fast, friendly, efficient, and served wonderful food. The only challenge we encountered was some fog, but if you have gps or some decent google maps you can navigate through that. Will definitely return if given the opportunity."

"This was a wonderfully cozy hidden gem. I almost hate to reveal to much because for us it was such a pleasant surprise (better than advertised). If you like relaxation and solitude in a perfect setting along side a windy river this is the place. I think I'm going to leave some to the imagination but I really don't think you'll be disappointed. We went with our 22 year old daughter and her friend and it was enjoyed by all. I can also see this for a wedding anniversary, a birthday/xmas gift for your wife...just a wonderful weekend. Host was very communicative as well. Trust me, can't go wrong."
