"Rania, the receptionist, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She thoroughly explained everything and gave excellent local recommendations. And most importantly she helped with my lost handbag; I left my handbag behind during the checkout process. The bag has passports and other important stuff. I came back to look for it and she had it ready on the front desk…phew… She’s a life saver!!"

"This was an excellent stay prior to getting the ferry. A short walk to blue star terminal. The owners are so nice and very helpful the room was very clean , spacious , tidy and had cooking facilities. Super market just round the corner and a “locals” souvlaki place just opposite the supermarket. Would recommend this place to anyone for value for money and comfort. Again the owners where so nice"

"Easy access to the beach and amenities pool good people friendly nice hotel... Couple of things need upgrading in my view in the room Not enough TV english channels on the small T.V. Kitchenette needs upgrading not enough work surface..... Shower needs upgrading ...quiet small Air con positioning directly over the bed... in our room ...not good for leaving throughout the night whilst asleep"

Staff on reception during check-in were not very friendly and charged me for the room, even though I had paid by using my saved vouchers. This was rectified later in the day by the manager. There was no secure place to leave luggage and we were told that we could just put our bags outside the gym. Not ideal and didn't want to leave our belongings in such a public area. "First impression stylish property and friendly staff, quiet location, but not really in the league of boutique hotels which have luxury linens and towels, toiletries etc. A few niggles - agree with previous reviewer about the shower, very small (I’m very petite) and kept knocking into the tap, shower curtain is too short to function effectively. "Such a lovely, family run hotel. So much more personal and quiet compared to the bigger, 4 & 5 star hotels. We were really glad we picked the Caravel. Huge room (apartment), great food and pool and just over the road from the sea. The owners were incredibly friendly, sorted out some last minute euros for us and booked probably the best taxi service we’ve ever had! All the good reviews were spot on. "

"The property has 2 buildings, one closer to the village centre and another one with direct access to the beach. We were lucky to be by the Gaia beach just opposite ours, which has a nicer swimming pool and a bar/restaurant, which is very good and part of the hotel management. "The rooms were incredibly spacious – it felt like we had our own one-bedroom apartment, complete with a living room and kitchen. During our stay, it was windy for a few days due to winds coming from the north. However there was no wind on the other side of the island which was 20 mins drive so went there. (faliraki beach). "

"These apartments are more residential than holiday apartments as such. Great size rooms. Near the lovely beach. It is next to a garage and a busy road so there is some noise - especially by the pool, however this cannot be heard from inside. Good facilities. Friendly staff and excellent communication. Great for an affordable base and id recommend the sea view rooms that have 3 balconies. we used it as somewhere to spend the day after we had to check out early but had a late flight home. Right...

"Love embracing the culture away from the tourist traps. You don't really need a car. You can hire a taxi to get there and take the bus the rest of the time. Buses are reasonable only 3.30 euro from the town into the tourist cities. No need to look for parking in Rhodes or Lindos with the bus system. Bus station is maybe a 5- 8 minute walk. I will probably not rent a car next time. Rustic and what the locals live in. Loved the private patio. My daughter stayed up nights with the lights...

"The staff were so helpful especially when it came to my daughter’s dietary requirements, with plenty of choice for her. You did not have to wait for the staff to help with anything you needed. The food was of a very high standard with a great selection of restaurants. The location was wonderful with great sea views and very clean throughout. Close to Rhodes old town if you wanted to venture and also not a far transfer from the airport. Lovely entertainment on an evening. An extremely good all inclusive Hotel overall. "

"First time to rhodes and i was very impressed. The hotel is beautiful, clean and modern, tradional style bedroom (i think) but very spacious, very comfortable bed. Every single staff member was happy, always smiling and very helpful. All the food was amazing, great decent drinks and a huge choice of cocktails. I absolutely could not fault one thing. Great sea view room. Walking distance to new town where theres lots of bars, restaurants and shops. And not really much further to old town. If you don't mind maybe 20 mins walk. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Hope all the staff had a great last night closing meal and party, i am sure you have all worked very hard"

"We had a fantastic stay at Elissa. We visited in October, so the hotel was lovely and quiet, perfect for our couples holiday. The private beach was beautiful - we spent lots of time there! Breakfast was delicious. Our room and the entire hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. "
