"The house is very clean with welcoming furnishings. The house had adequate supplies for the stay. My fur babies loved the peaceful fenced back yard. The house is convenient to town necessities. The host was very responsive to home questions. We will be returning!"

"The long driveway was very muddy due to a lot of rain. Water poured off roof over stairs leading off the front porch. I believe the gutters just needed cleaned out. I would definitely stay here again because it was a nice property and very spacious."

"My husband and I stayed here for my birthday weekend. It was absolutely perfection. Unlike many vacation rentals everything was provided, ample cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and paper towels. The location is unbeatable a very private lodge surrounded by nature. Beautiful birds visited each morning and we were even greeted by an armadillo one afternoon. The lodge itself is immaculate and well-maintained with beautiful and quaint decor. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need...

"This property was great, clean and has everything you need and more! Communication was great and responses were quick. We were moving our son in to an apartment in town so we didn’t get to spend as much time enjoying the house and lake as we would have liked but the availability of kayaks and life vests are a nice bonus. We did bring our own fishing gear and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would definitely book this property again!"

"These grounds are BEAUTIFUL, so peaceful, relaxing, the gardens were so well kept, like a story book! The history is amazing! We had 10 people stay for my daughter’s SFA graduation and they all want to return, because it was such a wonderful place to stay, so relaxing and peaceful. (It was about 15 minutes south of Lufkin and about 25 more minutes to Nacogdoches, but we’ll worth the drive! We will be back♥️. Great coffee bars, teas, salt and pepper, dish soap, dish washer soap, everything...
