"The check-in time is 3:00 pm and it's a bit strict. If one wants to check-in before 3, the half day rent has to be paid. More or less services are quite good. Rooms are equipped with bare minimum necessary stuff. Access to local food and few nearby restaurants. The breakfast is a bit monotonous and typically not many options. Overall, experience was Ok. "

Including breakfast was convenient, other than a couple of items don’t expect western style breakfast - as long as you’re good with that you’ll be happy 😆"

"Parking was a little confusing. Hotel parking has an elevator to parkage one way in. But there was extra parking around so figured it out. Property clean, checkin good, staff friendly. "

"Clean, spacious hotel room and toilet with big twin beds. Convenient on-site parking with family mart right at level 1 and walkable to mega don don sinking. The daifuku sweets confectionery shop opposite the hotel was a great find! Recommended."

"Friendly service. The host ladies were very friendly and tried their best to communicate with us. It’s a local traditional inn so don’t expect hotel style amenities and rooms. Only complaint was the noise from neighboring room(s): you wouldn’t hear their conversations but their foot steps and door closing. Hope future visitors would learn to be quieter in such an older, traditional Japanese inn. But anyway the host ladies’ warm hospitality compensated for the annoyance. "

"Pros: the price is quite good, the area is pretty convenient, and the staff is very friendly. Also, I really liked the onsen. Cons: I wanted to change my dates because a Typhoon was coming the same dates of my traveling and they refused, so I would not recommend this place for this reason. Also the onsen floor was very dirty which is a shame as the onsen itself is pretty nice and looks like recently renewed. "This is a nice little spot to stop in for a more traditional Japanese Inn experience for your stay in Aoshima. From the outside, it appears like a large house with a trailer on the property and a yard space large enough to fit a few vehicles. There is a sign at the front door that lets you know it is the Sea-Dweller Inn. The rooms are open Tatami with a table in the center. Cushions, sheets, blankets, pillows, etc are all found in the closet space to build your bed as you see fit. There is a toilet on both floors and a shower room in the downstairs, with the basic amenities needed. I arrived late at night and was greeted by the owner and his son. The owner spoke Japanese and his son could also translate in English. It was a very comfortable place to stay with a family business feel, rather than a chain hotel. Would recommend for a more authentic local experience."

"We only stayed here for one night just for a stop over so we didn’t expect much. It was cheap and surprisingly very spacious. The best part was that the futons provided were the most comfortable futons that I’ve slept on during my trip. Wish we stayed longer, it had a really honey and camp feel which I really liked compared to the busy city hotels we’ve stayed at. The service was great too, we came late in the night because we had to drive down and we still had someone greet us with a warm welcome. If I ever come back to Kyushu I will stay here longer."
