So, this photo looks amazing, but the reality is that at low tide this is a mangrove forest/mud, not swimmable, at all, there was a tire and lots of 'stuff'/trash that has collected in this little area. We were looking for a place to swim, this isn't the place. This is a small town filled with lovely people, 1 excellent seafood restaurant we could walk to, 1 coffee shop, and 1 7/11. The homestay here is very basic. Advertised as 2 beds, one was a queen, and OK, the other, a twin with no mattress, no foundation, just some plastic type layers of ? zipped into a covering. We used the futon covers beneath it so we didn't sag through the bottom, this is not a bed for an adult. Hostess said she'd have a taxi pick us up, it was her husband, he picked us up in Krabi airport 75 minutes away. He charged us 1800Baht, or $50, (going back they asked the same, but since it was New Year's day and they were celebrating/drinking til 3am, and he was still drunk/asleep at 1pm, we declined and found someone to take us for 500B or $14. We each asked for 2 towels and were declined, the towel was so worn out it was barely absorbent. Breakfast was provided, though it was very very traditional Thai, fish head soup, clear broth, my friend eats eggs so she made him an egg when he asked. I am allergic to them, so that wasn't an option.
She got me fruit for morning 2, too dry to eat, coffee was freeze dried so I walked into town for 7/11 coffee, and yogurt. Translation via the phone was not great.
