"It took 3 hours from the airport, to arrive late (approx. 9.30pm) they did keep the restaurant (limited as it was) open for us. Unfortunately we didn't pay attention to the pricing as we were shocked that we could not get cocktails! One type of beer and about four choices of spirits or wine. Turns out a drink costs more than in Australia! Meal was pretty basic too and not cheap. We took a chance as we wanted to experience the 'naturalist' (clothing free) experience. "This was booked as a private Villa with its own private pool, however we were disturbed by the owner entering the villa without being invited in which was very unnerving, especially when you open your bedroom curtains to find the owner outside your patio doors looking in. "We stayed here for our 30th Anniversary. The hotel is excellent. The staff made us feel very welcome and we received a free celebration cake. The rooms are very clean and nicely equipped. The food was tasty with a nice choice. The spa treatments were very nice. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful. It's a great retreat for a couple. We plan to return there next year."

"Had an absolutely wonderful time at Bondalem Beach Club. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to make sure my stay was a joy. So much so, they climbed a tree to get me a fresh coconut. The rooms are spacious, welcoming and beautiful. The pools are spectacular. The sunrises/sunsets from my room’s patio were a dream. I highly recommend BBC if you need a quiet, beautiful and relaxing getaway. "

"I have never been a beach, bars and booze guy so I never thought of coming to Bali. After visiting Kintamani and staying at Villa Jempana I am regretting not coming sooner. Serene views of the lake and caldera, central to lots of drives and the sunrises and sunsets, even in the rainy season were stunning. If being comfortable and cared for while quietly watching the farmers water their fields is you kinda thing, I can’t recommend enough. Ask for Molex."

"If you are searching for total isolation, this villa is right up your alley. There are no taxi services and no restaurants other than the villa’s which has limited meal options. The villa is located in a farming and very poor part of Bali. The flies are constant which makes sitting outside uncomfortable. For meals, we ate in our room so as to elude them. We had three nights booked but only stayed for two."
