"What a beautiful unique place hidden in the North Yorkshire countryside. Run by a lovely lady called Ginny who was so welcoming. She explained everything about the room, facilities and local walks. Loved the honesty shop. Had a great number of things to choose from, from hiking essentials (for sore feet!), to fresh eggs and pies. The room was perfect and very unique. "We had a wonderful week staying in Hindburn cottage at Jan and Duncan's converted farmyard. You're surrounded by greenery and nature and can even say hello to goats, ducks and sheep in the grounds. The accommodation had everything we needed, a full kitchen, decent bed, and instant hot water for the shower. The online guide from Jan and Duncan covered all our questions and had several great ideas for places to eat, visit, and for country walks. Even better, they're truly one of the nicest couples...

"Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York."

"The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled. We bought some descaler but it needs several attempts so we had to use a pan to heat water for drinks. The person in the accommodation...

"I have stayed at the minster Hotel several times, each occasion has been the same experience – excellent. The hotel has its own parking on site, staff are friendly helpful and well informed… And just a short stroll from the centre of York and the Minster. Excellent breakfast finish off the deal, definitely recommended!"
