"This is a handsome building and tastefully altered to become a hotel instead of a courthouse (it should have remained a courthouse forever!) My room was spacious and clean. The heating system was very quiet. The shower was simple to figure out and worked well. The cooked breakfast was decent, but the bakery items could improve. No complaints about the coffee. THe hotel could add signage to make it more obvious where the main entrance is. There were several good restaurants within walking distance."

"This historic hotel is pretty basic but its location directly across from the Prince Arthur landing is ideal. The prospector steakhouse and roosters bistro are both just a couple of blocks away. The staff is friendly and there is a security guard in the lobby since this is a downtown area with the typical city vagrants. We have also stayed here in the summer and the Lakeshore view is fantastic. "
