"On arrival at Beach House hotel we were welcomed at Reception by Dave who was friendly and professional. The check in was easy and we were soon directed to our room. We were asked if we needed help with our bags but said we would be fine. Our room, on the first floor, was large, bright and spacious. I was not very pleased that there was no window only a skylight but in the end this wasn't a problem as the velux window opened and had a blind. The en-suite was large and had everything needed plus lovely white towels! Breakfast was self service for cereal/fruit/toast etc. with staff who were friendly and attentive. You could also order cooked items. The full Northumberland breakfast set us up for the day and was well cooked and presented. The scrambled egg on sourdough toast was good but the toast wasn't really toasted enough! I think the only thing that we were not happy about was the water pressure in the shower which was very low but we would definitely stay at the hotel again."

"Enjoyed a 3 night stay. Quiet area but short drive to lots of lovely places. Breakfast had a good choice. Like a lot of buffets the food could have been hotter. We managed to use the pool and hot tub on 2 occasions, you just have to keep checking for a quiet time. The pool area around the hot tub has some signs of slight mould. Jack who served in the bar and restaurant was lovely, he really couldn’t do enough for you and was constantly checking with guests if they needed anything. Malcom less so when asked if there were any chef specials available instead of apologising for something advertised not being available, I was told they were far too busy to be bothering with Chef specials.Bed comfortable, room a nice size with a good shower room. Busy hotel and would stay again if we were in the area. "

"Fabulous location in the centre of Seahouses with views over the harbour. All the staff were lovely and went out of their way to ensure that we had a fantastic trip. Nothing was too much trouble and although we didn’t have a dog with us, those that were there were given an equally warm welcome! (There was a dog free area of the dining room as well but all the pets were very well behaved - obviously exhausted by all those long beautiful coastal walks.) The rooms were comfortable and very warm with none of that annoying phoning down to reception to turn the heat up which seems to be the standard in large chains nowadays. We were not fully inclusive but ate in the restaurant through choice most nights as the food was freshly prepared and very good. Helen, Peter and their staff run a very efficient and friendly hotel which we will definitely visit again. "

"Delightful quirky accommodation; staff very friendly, lounge very homely with lovely log burner and plenty of glasses to enjoy your own drinks, snacks or takeaway food etc. Large communal tables which gives lots of opportunity to meet and socialise with other guests. Although our room wasn’t large it had everything we needed and was full of character. Alnwick has lots to see and do and lovely restaurants."
