"This host, with less than a few days notice, emailed me that there was some confusion in my booking and that he would not honor the reservation. He started as apologetic and then turned hostile. He had my money for months and I had a confirmation number and the reservation showed as “booked” for months. He refunded the money but sounded like he was doing me a favor.
