Good stay, however some of the rooms are very small. I’m 175cm and 75kg, was by myself and it was very cramped. There were no clothes drawers and I had to squeeze into the shower. Despite having a double bed If you’re 180cm or over or 2 people for any more than 1 night I’d say you’d need a bigger room.

Underrated hotel
This hotel is vastly underrated. It's really cute, quiet and lots of bonus amenities not mentioned (discounts at local restaurants, gift shop, etc.) I stayed at another local hotel in Alta when I returned from my excursions, and Canyon cost less, but was much nicer. If I return to Alta, I would absolutely stay here again.

Wouldn’t recommend staying. Not a quiet place to stay nothing to do with hotel residents but maybe hotel bar downstairs. people outside (-15 degrees) shouting and screaming at each other until police turned up.

We stayed here 3 nights. First- if you are considering going to Alta- do it. This was our favorite location during our two week trip to Norway. The "downtown" area is one pedestrian street the equivalent of 4 blocks. The Canyon sits almost right in the center. There is an indoor shopping center almost across from the hotel which gave us some nice escape from the cold. Anything you may need is there- it was also just fun to walk around. The hotel is very nice with a wonderful restaurant on the first floor, that also served free breakfast. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. The staff was wonderful and helpful. If you are going to Alta and are looking for a great place to stay you will not be disappointed in the Canyon

I really liked the code in the main door and rooms for ease of entry and check in. Getting to the point of receiving the code wasn’t as easy. I had to reach out to Expedia to assist as the instructions for check in were to reach out to the hotel before arrival so I messaged through Expedia since we had no other contact info and didn’t receive a response. A little nerve wracking in the midst of international travel. Once expedia reached out to the hotel and provided an email address we did eventually get what we needed and it was very seamless.
