"Richard was a great host though there were quite a lot of strict rules sent before fhe stay and during which made us feel a bit on edge! Felt a bit like someone had let us stay in their home rather than we were paying guests. But the house is immaculate and grand so I can see why care is needed. "This is a large farmhouse that can host a big group. It is very comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the property but be aware that it is part of a group of houses, so you have neighbours next door... This is not a major issue and made up by the great views. Perhaps one suggestion would be to add a BBQ grill, and a new frying pan... The location is great and the town of Anwick a gem to visit. We really enjoyed Nothumberland!"

"The overall experience at the Garden Rooms was good. We would return, though there were a few things which disappointed us. The large sliding doors to the outside were very difficult to open. We are not feeble but it was almost impossible to slide due to being very heavy and stiff. The room itself smelt very strong of wood smoke from the chimnea, we did not use it during our stay.
