"The camp is a peaceful place and very well kept, the hut was great for a short stay, the communication with the agent was second to none, Jamie was very helpful with any queries we had regarding the property. Our children really enjoyed staying on an old prisoner of war camp and found it really exciting. The hut was clean and tidy and had everything we required to make our stay comfortable. Overall I would recommend and would return. "

The Grey Cottage - charming cottage close to Gleneagles Hotel

9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (34)
"I had not realized on booking that the second bedroom was in the loft and accessible by a wooden loft ladder. Both my sister and I are retired and neither of us could get the ladder down. We decided not to contact Helen as we wouldn't have been able to go up and down the ladder anyway. It is very steep and doesn't have any handrailsThe property itself is an old style cottage with a good size kitchen which had some groceries to start us off. A lovely touch after a 7 hour journey. The living area...

Cute, cosy cottage with retro Dutch Tub.

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (61)
"Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "
