It is accessed up communal steep staircase from a main front door and is annexed to the main hotel next door. "My adult daughter and I recently spent 5 nights at this property. It was a lovely spot, very clean, bright, and private. It was a 20 minute walk to the train station, or a 7 minute walk to catch the bus/train. Download the "City Mapper" app to help you navigate getting around. There is a grocery store near by, and the apartment has a refrigerator, stove top, and microwave to conveniently make meals/snacks if you wish. "David is an excellent host who responded quickly to our need for a room due to an unexpected layover. The House from the 1600s is located next to a canal is near all the action but it it quiet and safe. The traditional room was clean and funky with some beers and chocolates included. A fantastic short stay !"

"Beautiful room with excellent facilities. Very handy for the centre of Amsterdam and easy to get to from the airport. Trams every 4 minutes to the centre. Gerry Petra’s husband was great and told us a lot about the area and could not have been more helpful. The house is perfect to stay in in a quiet street right next to Vondelpark. We shall definitely come back and look forward to doing so very soon. An altogether wonderful experience. "
