"A nice villa in an excellent location for all the excellent beaches, but in need of some upgrading. External Walls need painting, some of the bathrooms need updating and the dishwasher and toaster didn’t work. The owners did get someone in immediately to repair the dishwasher , but it still leaked when they had gone."

"Villa is recently renovated and in a beautiful condition. Host is accomodating and very friendly, would highly recommend! Area is fantastic, 2 mins walk to supermarket and short cab journey into central Lisbon."

"We had a wonderful stay in Father’s House Beach House. The house was very clean and modern with a lovely pool & garden. It was the perfect place to relax. We walked through the forest to the beach every day. Steep climb but worth it. Huge, mainly deserted beach which was really picturesque with amazing sunsets. It’s also possible to walk to the village where there are some nice cafes and restaurants. Contact with the host was really good. He sent lots of info prior to check-in & checked on us...

"Im Großen und Ganzen sehr schöne 2 Wochen. Wir hatten die Hoffnung, dass man die knapp 2km auch mal zu Fuß an den Strand laufen kann. Allerdings schaffen das nur Hartgesottene, da es keinen Gehweg gibt. Mit Kindern oder Surfboard leider nicht möglich. Wenn man genauer hinschaut, merkt man, dass das Haus schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Grundsätzlich ist es aber sehr gut ausgestattet und der kleine Pool macht v.a. den Kids viel Spaß, gerade bei 30 Grad+"

"10 family members stayed for 7 nights. Everything you could need. Children loved the pool. A nice refreshing change to the Algarve. "

"The house was nice. It was listed as a 4 bedroom however the 4th bedroom was not attached to the main house as well as the 3rd bathroom. The detached bedroom was not prepared and ready for us as the owner decided we would not need to use it as there were 4 of us traveling. I rented the property because it had 4 bedrooms as i didnt want adults sleeping on twin beds. The other separate bedroom also smelled musty. The grounds needed some attention as there was weeds growing around the patio bricks...

The bus and tram would have been easy to catch just down the street, although we chose to Uber and the pickup was always fast. "This was a wonderful home base for our stay in Lisbon. Right next to a stadium and a grocery store as well as walkable to the metro. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Special little touches made us feel great, and they were able to give us breakfast to make up for the pool being closed due to the storms that wrecked the pool covering, not their fault at all but they did what they could to make us happy! Breakfast was great too!"

"The apartment itself was spacious, ( we weren’t expecting it to be two floors!) had good amenities (washer and dryer), and in a great location for proximity to dining, public transportation, sight seeing and attractions. Unfortunately there was a homeless encampment very close to the apartment that we had to walk by every morning and the whole area often smelled like urine. This shouldn’t be held against the property as they have no control over it, but it does detract from the overall...
