"Like a lot of hotels at the moment, these guys need customers to generate income so they can invest/renovate/upgrade what they are offering. The staff were great and the location is overlooking the Atlantic is amazing."

"Stop at this review and look elsewhere. Very confusing check in, thats if you can find the reception area. The bungalows are very outdated and worn out. A lot of mildew inside. Terrible sewage smell. "

"Hotel was beautiful, it took a while to check in as there was only 1 person at reception. There was no restaurant service at the higest of the summer. Spa wasn't working properly. The. But staff was friendly and helpfull. Felt sorry for them, as it perhaps needed more people working."

"We had a very good experience at Hotel Santa Maria. It is right across the street from the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The food is very good, the place is walking distance to the sanctuary, stores and restaurants. Highly recommend it and definitely going back. "
