"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

"Arrived late afternoon so had to ring as no one on reception. Arrived promptly. Very helpful. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast in the cafe below as we had food to use before getting the boat home but we were asked. Very quiet in the winter months. Would stay again. "

"I arrived latish and reception was deserted, took me a while to locate a person. There was no record of my booking, etc. After that, all went OK. Hotel´s decor is a bit old fashioned but is sparkling clean, Rooms are big, and Breakfast is basic but was included in a really great rate. Parking is easy and on site, free."
